Your insurance advisors in Switzerland

Insurance grows over the years: a policy from your first employer, a group contract from the company, a health insurer from the canton you used to live in. Our insurance advisory services in Switzerland bring those contracts together on one table – and examine what still fits you today.

We work as an independent insurance broker: we don't represent an insurance company, we represent you. We compare offers on the market, explain the conditions behind them, and remain your contact after the contract is signed.

With 13 locations in nine cantons, we are where you live and work. If you move, change jobs, or run a business, your advisory team stays the same.

Contact Us – We Are Happy to Advise You

How May We Advise You?

Providing a few brief details will help us to optimally prepare your request.

Step 1 of 3

What sets our insurance advisory services in Switzerland apart

Most households and businesses don't have a coverage problem, they have an overview problem. That is exactly where we start: first sort it out, then optimize.

One mandate instead of many contacts

Health, property, personal and business insurance come together under a single mandate with us. You have one conversation instead of five – and still keep a free choice between providers.

Making overlaps and gaps visible

Anyone who signs contracts over many years ends up paying twice in one place and being thinly covered in another. We lay policies, group contracts and statutory benefits side by side – and only then talk about changes.

Cantonal borders taken into account

Health insurance premium regions, cantonal building insurance and responsibilities differ noticeably across Switzerland. We examine what a move or a new place of work means for your coverage.

Advice that goes beyond the policy

Insurance, pensions, taxes and financing are connected. Our specialists in those areas sit in the same house – so your coverage is never looked at in isolation.

How to proceed – Insurance advice at smzh

1. Non-binding first consultation (free of charge)
We get to know each other – by phone, online, or at any of our 13 locations. You describe your situation, we show you how we work. Free of charge, non-binding, and without selling pressure.
2. Taking stock of your contracts
We collect your existing policies, group contracts and pension fund statements and bring them together in one overview. Duplicate coverage, unused benefits and open risks become visible in the process.
3. Assessment and recommendations
We explain which risks you actually carry yourself, which are already covered by law or through your employer, and where a private solution makes sense. Our recommendations are neutral and explained in a way you can follow.
4. Market comparison and implementation
We obtain offers from several companies, compare conditions rather than premiums alone, and take care of the correspondence – from cancelling old contracts to checking the new policy.
5. Ongoing support and claims
We review your coverage regularly and get in touch when the market or your life changes. In the event of a claim, we are your point of contact toward the insurer.

Who is our insurance advice in Switzerland suitable for?

Our insurance advice is for everyone who wants to make their coverage a deliberate decision – whatever the location and whatever the stage of life.

Households with contracts grown over time

Health insurance, household contents, liability, life, motor – most families have accumulated a fair amount over the years. We bring order into it and show what fits together and what doesn't.

Companies and self-employed persons

Business liability, property and business interruption cover, daily sickness benefits, supplementary accident insurance and the pension fund affiliation belong in one view – together with your private coverage as an owner.

New residents and internationally mobile clients

Moving to Switzerland or working across the border comes with its own deadlines and options in health insurance. We clarify what applies in your case and support you with the registration.

People in transitions

Marriage, a new baby, home ownership, a job change, retirement or a move to another canton: each of these changes what you need – and what you can cancel.

We handle questions such as these on a daily basis. Is yours missing? Just fill in the form at the top of this page – we will get back to you.

A broker does not represent an insurance company, but the client. They compare offers from several providers, negotiate conditions, and remain the point of contact after the contract is signed – in the event of a claim, for instance. smzh is not bound by any insurance provider and advises free of commissions.

We are present at 13 locations in nine cantons – among them Zurich, Bern, Basel, Lucerne and St. Gallen. Every consultation is also possible by video call, wherever you live.

The initial consultation is free of charge. For further advice we work with transparent flat rates or hourly rates – no hidden commissions and no selling pressure.

We look at personal insurance (health, accident, disability and life insurance), property insurance (household contents, liability, buildings, motor vehicles) and, for companies, the business covers. Occupational and private pension provision is included in the picture.

A change of residence affects the premium region of your health insurance, among other things, and the building insurance, which in several cantons runs through a cantonal institution. We check before the move which contracts need to be adjusted, cancelled or newly concluded.

No. Many existing policies are good and stay in place. Our aim is a reliable overview – we only recommend changes where they bring you a recognizable benefit.

Our regions at a glance

Eight of our locations serve regions with insurance topics of their own – from the border region and the mountain canton to the industrial hub. What that means for your coverage, you can read here.

Aarau

Bahnhofstrasse 41, 5000 Aarau. The canton of Aargau combines industry, trade and a lot of home ownership. Frequent topics: buildings and household contents cover for your own home, daily sickness benefits for companies, and aligning statutory accident benefits with private coverage.

Baden

Stadtturmstrasse 10, 5400 Baden. A region with large technology and industrial employers. Those employed there often have strong group solutions – and pay twice privately if nobody puts the two sides next to each other.

Chur

Grabenstrasse 7/9, 7000 Chur. In Graubünden, second homes, properties in tourism municipalities and long distances shape the risk picture. Buildings, liability and travel cover need a different look here than in the agglomeration.

Frauenfeld

Bahnhofstrasse 55, 8500 Frauenfeld. Thurgau lives from agriculture, food production and supplier industries. Business assets, farm succession and the proximity to the German border raise questions a standard policy rarely covers cleanly.

Sursee

Bahnhofstrasse 33, 6210 Sursee. In the Lucerne countryside, home ownership is within reach for many families, and a great number of households commute to Lucerne, Zug or Zurich. Home, family protection and disability cover belong in the same view.

Pfäffikon SZ

Churerstrasse 24, 8808 Pfäffikon SZ. The canton of Schwyz attracts newcomers from other cantons and from abroad. Change of residence, several contractual relationships and estate planning are the most frequent starting points here.

Arosa

Poststrasse 144, 7050 Arosa. In the mountain region, a lot of income is seasonal – from hotels, restaurants, mountain railways and self-employment. Loss of earnings, accident cover and business interruption carry particular weight here.

Buchs SG

Bahnhofstrasse 22, 9470 Buchs SG. In the St. Gallen Rhine Valley, right on the border with Liechtenstein and Austria: many people live here and work in the neighbouring country – or the other way round. Health and accident insurance then follow different rules.
