smzh appoints Dr. iur. Aurelia Frick as Deputy CEO

smzh ag, one of Switzerland’s leading independent financial services providers, is strategically strengthening its management and setting the course for its next phase of growth. Dr. iur. Aurelia Frick has been appointed Deputy CEO and will additionally take on the role of Chief Business Development Officer. At the same time, Mergime Raçi and Melanie Guenthardt are assuming expanded leadership responsibilities in key areas.

Strengthening Leadership for the Next Phase of Growth

Growth, quality, and operational excellence are at the core of smzh ag’s strategic direction. A clear and effective leadership structure is crucial to achieve this. With the latest appointments, which take effect immediately, the company is deliberately expanding its management and reinforcing key competencies in growth, platform, and brand.

Aurelia Frick Appointed Deputy CEO & Chief Business Development Officer

Dr. iur. Aurelia Frick is taking on the new role as Deputy CEO & Chief Business Development Officer at smzh ag. She has been with the company since 2023, serving as a member of the extended management team and as location manager in Buchs SG.

In her new position, she will work closely with CEO Gzim Hasani and will be responsible in particular for expanding business development, strategic partnerships, and further development of the family office segment. She will also take on selected deputy responsibilities at the management level.

Her leadership experience and international network offer additional strategic value.

Focus on platform and digitalization

Mergime Raçi is assuming leadership of the Platform, Digital Products & Technology unit. She has been part of smzh since March 2024 and, in her new role, is responsible for further developing the digital platform, enhancing user experience, and leading key technology initiatives.

A particular focus is placed on the app «smzh prisma» as the future digital access point for clients. At the same time, her team is advancing the development of advisory processes and the targeted use of technology and artificial intelligence.

Mergime Raçi brings experience in banking, design, and technology, and has worked for international agencies as well as leading financial institutions.

Strengthening brand and communications

Melanie Guenthardt assumes overall responsibility for Marketing & Communications. Since December 2023, she has shaped the brand image of smzh and will now be responsible for communications, content, social media, and events.

With her many years of experience at international financial institutions and her entrepreneurial background, she brings comprehensive expertise in marketing, communications, and brand building.

Together with her team, she ensures that smzh presents itself clearly, consistently, and effectively, fostering trust both internally and externally.

Focus on sustainable growth

With the targeted expansion of its management team, smzh ag is underscoring its commitment to qualitative and sustainable growth. The company employs around 200 staff and serves more than 18,000 clients at 13 locations in German-speaking Switzerland. In total, approximately 400 workspaces are available at the existing locations, which will be gradually filled as part of further expansion.
