With Andreas Krümmel, the fast-growing company is gaining a member of the Board of Directors with many years of proven experience in the financial industry. The former CEO of Generali Switzerland and current Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sympany will join the financial services provider as a member of the Board of Directors on October 1, 2023 and will support the company in the areas of business development and strategic advisory.

With more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry and his comprehensive know-how in digitalization and innovation topics, Andreas Krümmel is the ideal addition to the existing management team.

New location in Bern

In addition, smzh ag is pleased to announce the continuation of its expansion with the opening of another location in Bern.

The new premises are centrally located at Kornhausplatz 14 and will be managed by Arbela Statovci, an existing employee who will be able to successfully develop her career with the new management responsibility within the company. "With ten years of professional experience in Zurich, I am returning to Bern, where my career once began. My focus will be on building up and expanding smzh in Berne and implementing the growth strategy - something I intend to pursue with vigor," says Arbela Statovci.

New partnership with the Bear Club

In addition to the new location, smzh ag has partnered with the Bärenclub, Bern's largest sports network, where Arbela Statovci has joined the board. The Bärenclub has a long tradition of supporting and promoting sports talent in various disciplines throughout Switzerland.

It will also open its sixth location in Buchs SG in November this year. The site will be headed by Dr. Aurelia Frick, a member of the smzh Extended Executive Board.
