What is your current role at smzh?
I'm the Team Head Private & Corporate Clients in Baden.
How long have you been working for smzh?
Since October 1, 2025.
What does a typical work day look like for you?
A significant part of my day is dedicated to advising our private clients. This ranges from retirement planning and wealth management to developing complex risk mitigation strategies. In doing so, I regularly work with internal specialists to find the optimal solution for each client.
At the same time, I support my team in their daily work: I coach employees, assist with challenging advisory situations, and ensure the quality of our services. For me, leadership is not just about managing, but above all about developing others and creating space for growth.
What do you like most about your job?
What I appreciate the most is the personal interaction with clients. People share their stories, their goals, and sometimes their worries with me – and I have the privilege of helping them gain clarity. That moment when tension disappears and trust is established is invaluable to me. Supporting my team in creating these very moments makes my work especially meaningful.
What sets smzh apart as an employer?
I experience smzh as an open employer that encourages new ideas and opportunities. Here, you are given real prospects – both professionally and personally. I especially appreciate that the company’s values are not just on paper but actively shaped in our daily work. This environment truly makes me feel that I am in the right place.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I am happiest when I’m out and about, traveling. Whenever possible, I get on my surfboard at the beach – that gives me an incredible sense of freedom. I also love the adrenaline rush of motorsports. And ultimately, there’s nothing better for me than spending time with friends, which is the perfect balance.
What are your biggest dreams?
I dream of actively shaping the financial landscape in Switzerland, achieving financial independence, and working remotely in the long term. Freedom, impact, and influence – these are the three forces that drive me.
Has working in this area changed your approach to finances and retirement planning?
No, my approach has not changed. I have been at home in the world of finance and retirement planning for a long time – handling these topics responsibly has been second nature to me for years.
What financial or retirement advice would you give to peers?
Especially as a woman, I advise taking finances and retirement planning seriously and consciously investing in your own independence. Many of us tend to put others first – career, family, relationships – but in the end, financial security is a gift to ourselves. Those who start early grant themselves freedom, confidence, and real opportunities.
What is your favorite sport? Do you practice it yourself?
My absolute favorite sport is surfing – nothing beats this feeling of freedom and being close to nature for me. I work out regularly at the gym, love all sports that take place outdoors, and used to be a competitive synchronized swimmer.
Do you have a book recommendation?
I am a huge fan of Yuval Noah Harari – "Sapiens" and "Homo Deus" are books I would highly recommend. I also enjoy reading about capitalism (for example: "What Went Wrong with Capitalism" by Ruchir Sharma) because these books help us understand the opportunities and risks of our economic system – and the direction in which we are developing.
What is your favorite movie?
I don’t have a favorite movie. For me, what matters is that a movie either provides a distraction or gives me something to think about.
What kind of music do you enjoy?
I don’t have a preferred music style. I listen to a bit of everything, depending on my mood.
How do you unwind after work?
Mostly, I unwind doing sports. Long cooking sessions, spending time with friends, or a spa evening also help me to relax.
