What is your current role at smzh? Has it changed yet?
My current role at smzh is a client advisor for private and corporate clients.
How long have you been working for smzh?
I have been with smzh since April 2022.
What does a typical workday look like?
We are quite flexible. We largely shape our day ourselves. A typical workday starts with organizing and coordinating our upcoming appointments. Afterward, I handle my administrative tasks and visit my clients on-site.
What do you particularly enjoy about your job?
That I am flexible and can organize my workday myself.. As a father, an organized daily structure is very important to successfully manage my responsibilities as a client advisor as well as a family father.
What distinguishes smzh as an employer?
There's support for personal development, recognition for good performance, and a strong sense of teamwork among colleagues. Furthermore, there is the opportunity to contribute ideas that are acknowledged and implemented.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I'm married and a father of three, so I prefer spending my free time with my family.
What are your biggest dreams and goals?
As a first and foremost wish, I hope that my family and children stay healthy. Additionally, I aim to provide everything for my children to enable them to fulfill their wishes and goals in the future, including a high-quality education. Professionally, my major goal is to lead a smzh branch or manage a multi-member team in my canton of origin Thurgau.
Has your approach to finances and retirement changed since working in this field?
As someone who transitioned into this field, a lot has changed for me. I've learned to look at finances from a different perspective and act accordingly. Since then, I have become much more conscious about my finances and invest in my future as well as that of my wife and children. As my wife is a full-time mother, it is important to us that she has no gaps in her retirement provision. This was not as clear to me years ago, how crucial retirement provision is for non-working mothers.
What advice do you have for peers regarding finances/retirement?
There's nothing better than engaging with these matters as early as possible. Iam convinced that dealing with finances and retirement provision should play an important role alongside eduction, travel, family etc.
What is your favorite sport? Do you participate in sports yourself?
My favorite sport is soccer, although I'm no longer actively involved in it. I play football with colleagues every Wednesday, which provides a good balance for me.

What kind of music do you enjoy listening to?
Mixed. I like German pop and Swiss German rap, as well as Albanian folklore.
What do you do to unwind after work?
On my way home, I use the time to unwind with music or podcasts. Once I arrive home, my children help me let go of work.
