Figure skater
Alexia Paganini is a talented Swiss figure skater who has made a name for herself through her exceptional technique and expressive performances on the ice. Born in the USA with Swiss roots, she began figure skating as a child. She showed great potential early on and initially competed for the USA at international events. In 2017, she decided to represent Switzerland and went on to win the Swiss national championships that same year.
This victory paved the way for her to compete at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, where she established herself among the world’s top figure skaters. At the 2020 European Championships in Graz, she achieved a personal best and finished fourth, just shy of the podium. Her elegant technique, combined with expressive choreography, makes her one of the most promising figure skaters in Switzerland.
With her passion for the sport and her focus on continuous improvement, Alexia pursues her goals on the international stage with great dedication and determination. She remains an inspiration for young athletes and demonstrates that hard work and perseverance are the keys to success.
At Art on Ice 2025, Alexia Paganini surprised the audience with an impressive premiere: In addition to her elegant skating, the former Swiss champion presented an aerial acrobatics performance for the first time.
Following her retirement from competitive skating in 2024, she continues to stay connected to figure skating as a coach – focusing on pleasure rather than pressure. Since May, she was training intensively for her performance to live music by Birdy. At the same time, she was pursuing her university studies. Her journey shows that Alexia continues to inspire with her passion and willingness to embrace change, even beyond the world of competitive skating.
